Where can i find auditions for the west end stage?
I have been in many school productions in which i have played the role of Marius in Les mis and Mr Bumble in Oliver but i want to take my singing acting interest abit further and get onto proper theatre stages and finally perform in the west end which is my dream
Order the STAGE magazine (formerly known as Stage and Television ) from your newsagents and have a look in that, be careful though there are some bad agents around.
Write or e-mail Equity (union for actors and variety artistes ) and they will give you some information, also they will let you know how you can join them (I am an Equity member and have been in over sixty T.V. programmes) this way you get lots of help info and protection with insurance etc.
Good luck in your career , but remember the best thing you can do is get yourself another career,because whilst you are auditioning, or waiting for auditions you need some other income, to be able to pay for transport/acting classes and workshops, head shots (publicity photos) and to help you through the MANY times when work is hard to come by.
There are so many people in the same position and lots of very talented people ,all trying to get the same part you will want. Its a very hard job.
