1. Lighten up
'An instant garden update for an urban garden is lighting,' says Jon Holloway from the Garden Trading Company. 'In the early evening, clever lighting sets the scene and shows off the space. What type of mouse is this? Just found it in UK urban garden.?
Hi Guys,
Just went out in the garden about 60 minutes ago (about 9.30pm) - originally to look for moths - and ended up finding a mouse on my bird feeder at the bottom of the garden (furthest from the house). The feeder is a hanging dish filled with wild bird seed. This mouse was sitting in the dish working his way through the seed - he was there for around 5 minutes to my knowledge before scuttling off through the tree foliage.

Apologies for the poor quality!
I went really close to it and it didn't seem to mind. I live in an urban area near Birmingham, is this mouse a problem/could it enter the house or should I just leave it be?

Awww sweet! It's a fieldmouse a.k.a. wood mouse. House mice have greyish fur and small beady eyes.
I wouldn't worry about it at all unless you start finding tell-tale signs around the house.
