Any ideas for an under the sea birthday party?
My 8 year old daughter wants an under the sea birthday party that has to be done indoors because it's in February. Any good ideas for food, games, favors or anything. She does not like the little mermaid by the way. Thanks in advance
Choose a particular room to have the party in. Decorate the room in blue streamers, blue balloons, blue banners and blue tack on the wall pictures of sea creatures such as fish, whales, jellyfish etc.
For the food, get at least one or two types of servings of fish for young kids such as fish fingers. Buy or make fairy cakes with blue icing and silver crystal balls and green swirls for decoration. Have the table cloth a blue colour, with green and/or blue napkins, plates and cups. Find a table centre decoration to put in the middle. You can get one with streamers coming out that are blue and green.
Fun activities you can do is a treasure hunt, where you tell all the kids a story about a pirates ship that sunk and had lost treasure scattered all over the ocean, and have chocolate coins be placed around the house for the kids to find. Everyone can keep their gold coins, but the winner gets a prize of something like a bracelet that is magical or something.
For the invites, get a blue piece of A4 paper, stick half of white A4 paper on it and write down the information. Around the blue sides stick down sequins of stars and stick on real shells if you have any, or put down glitter or sand as well or put on gems.
