The Statement Behind Striped Wallpaper
When a person is looking for wallpaper for their home, consciously or sometimes even without knowing it, they are looking for something that will make a style statement. When you choose striped wallpaper, you make a statement that is different from someone who chooses to use damask or perhaps floral wallpaper.
If you choose stripes, you may be trying to say that you're more regimented, able to walk the straight and narrow, so to speak. Whereas if you instead chose a different wallpaper, floral for instance, you may be not so much making a statement as trying to elicit a certain type of mood in your décor for your self and your guests.
Be honest, mood plays a great role in our décor decisions. It does not make sense to decorate in a colour that makes you feel unhappy. All décor plays to status or the mood you want to portray; the same with colour. What does it make you feel when you look at a room covered in striped wallpaper? Well, it can make you fell that you've elevated your status. It can cause you to feel like your life is somewhat more in order, this helps if you are an especially disorganized person and this feeling calms you. If you really look it can have the power of drawing your eye to something special that you want to highlight in your room.
Compare what a difference a wallpaper can make to how you feel. When you choose a different type of wallpaper, floral, for instance, it will give the whole room a totally different ambiance and will evoke a different sentiment from you. If you live in a country that is covered in snow in wintertime, floral wallpaper can make you feel like you are coming from a dark dreary wintery scenery into spring with that first flower sighting. It can be like a gigantic sigh after all the months of cold, wet, snowy weather that they've had to tolerate. You can tolerate almost anything after seeing the promise brought on by that first flower.
Well why not change the mood in a home in a winter-dreary region by changing the wallpaper. Find the prettiest collared flower wallpaper that you can find and dress those walls in defiance of all that dreary weather that you're forced to put up with during those long winter months. There are so many different floral wallpaper styles out there that you've merely got to chose your favourite colours and make them into a pleasing spring or summer palate of colour. There's no room that is wrong for a beautiful touch of floral wallpaper on the walls from the bedroom, kitchen or even the bathroom. Again, with all wallpapering jobs measure more than once it will pay off in the long run and invite a friend or family member over to help with the actual putting up of the wallpaper.

I think because everything is so dark and everything else is navy, white flip flops would be a great way to break it up (give the outfit more depth). It's a very cute outfit and as for your hair, wearing it down would be more feminine than wearing it as a side ponytail, but I happen to have a special place in my heart for side ponytails, so it's really up to you. Just put on the outfit, stand in front of a mirror, and whatever looks right or better to you is what you should go with.
