How To Get Soft And Silky Skin Before A Big Event

Big events are planned way ahead. You would want to make sure that everything goes well. This includes your appearance. I am sure you would want to look your best. Appearance is a big factor to consider during large gatherings.

Weeks before the expected big event, you have to start improving the health of your skin. Dull, dry and flaky skin will not do. So here are some tips that can help you have soft and silky skin:

1. Exfoliate your skin twice a week.

Exfoliating is one way of removing the dead skin cells that have accumulated in your pores. Sebum and dirt also populate inside your pores and you can remove them through the use of a body or facial scrub. This method will gradually make your skin smoother.

While there are a lot of exfoliating scrubs out in the market, I suggest using dry skin brushing technique. This method was popularized by Chinese medical practitioners. You need a soft-bristled paddle brush. Before taking a bath in the morning, run the bristles of the brush on your skin in a circular motion. Do this method for about 10 minutes. Not only can this get rid of dead skin cells, it will also help improve blood and fluid circulation.

2. Soak in a warm bubble bath infused with beneficial essential oils

Essential oils are a little expensive today. However, they really work in keeping your skin moist and supple. Try to add a few drops to your warm bath water. Soak in it for a couple of minutes.

3. Use a good moisturizer

Your moisturizer should be able to lock moisture in skin tissues. Look for a product that is made up of CynergyTK, Phytessence Wakame and Manuka Honey.

CynergyTK is a great source of a protein called Keratin. Keratin is responsible for the production of collagen and elastin. Phytessence Wakame is a type of sea kelp that can prevent the loss of hyaluronic acid. This acid is as vital to the youthful dermis processes of collagen. It is the key to collagen lubrication. Manuka honey contains emollient properties that can lock moisture inside skin tissues. This also has humectant benefits that can keep skin hydrated for a longer period of time.

4. Drink citrus juice once a day

How to keep your hands silky soft in cold winter months?

Ok so I really would like to keep my hands nicely moisturized in the winter months. I have to much trouble doing this. They get all dry and gross looking. What can I get at Walmart or somewhere that's not too expensive that really will help keep my hands silky soft?

My dad works outside a lot and his hands are always cracked and flaky. He uses this stuff called "Corn Huskers Lotion". It doesn't smell all that great, but it really, really works. I'd imagine you could find it somewhere in Wal-Mart or Rite-Aid. I don't think my dad goes to Sephora to get it or anything, lol.

I know that putting lotion on your feet and sleeping in cotton socks makes your feet a lot softer, so maybe you could try sleeping with some manicure mittens on your hands after you put the lotion on. I think I've seen some at Bath and Body Works.
