5 Cost Free Acne Preventive Measures That You Can Adopt Immediately

If you are struggling with acne problems like many others, it is important that you learn proper acne prevention measures to keep your skin clean and healthy. You may think that it takes a lot of effort to prevent acne, but actually it is a matter of making small changes to your personal lifestyle.

1. Avoid touching your face with your hands.

3. Sleep with your face facing the ceiling

One way of avoiding the dust, oil and dirt on your pillowcase from getting onto your face when you sleep is to simply keep your face upwards when you lie down. Many of us are accustomed to sleeping on our sides. But it is possible to develop the habit of sleeping face up the whole night. In fact, one of the reasons why Japanese in general have beautiful and flawless complexion is because they sleep with their faces facing the ceiling the entire time. It is a great habit to develop.

4. Clear your face of stray hair strands

Stray hair strands that find themselves on your face can irritate your skin and promote acne. This is especially so if you use hair products such as hair wax, hair clay or hair gel on your hair. The best policy is to not use these hair products as they are not only bad for your hair but bad for your face. Make sure you keep your face clear from stray hair strands.

5. Drown your body with tons of water

Learn to be a water tank. The more water you drink, the more you cleanse your body of unwanted toxin. This is a natural way of detoxifying your body and by disallowing the toxin in your body to accumulate, you are putting a stop to acne from festering on your skin.

I was thinking of making blankets like large, reversible pillowcases for kids in DFCS custody. Can you think?

of anything I should be aware of or consider in making them?

I won't use buttons or anything to close them, because snaps and buttons could be choking hazards. String to tie it closed could be dangerous.

I've heard most foster kids carry their belongings in pillowcases. So I was thinking of making a blanket that could double as a bag. Maybe 60 X 45?

I'm asking this here because you guys are awesome, and because caring for the "fatherless" is a spiritual concept.

Velcro makes a nice safe fastener. A zipper might also be safe, but would be more apt to break or jam.

As for decorating it, anything glued on will likely be torn or chewed off. These are some nervous kids -- some anyway. Iron-on images of Blue's Clues or Dora (etc.) are always well received.

Reversible, huh? Different decorations on either side would be interesting and stimulating.

In our experience, Hefty trash bags & cardboard boxes may be sent a week behind the kids. They usually come to us with just the clothes on their back. By then my wife has already bought them some cute outfits and some church clothes.

With Meth use raging, we'd rather not get anything from the child's home. The residue could endanger our other children and us, as well as the foster-child.
