Should I go see a doctor or a chiropractor?

So I started using an airbed about 2 months ago, and by the 2nd week of it's use, I started getting sharp stabbing pain on my right hip which eventually forced me to walk around using a cane. The stabbing sensation would intensify the more I walked but would ease out when I took a rest from walking. Now, 2 months and 2 "real" beds after the symptoms first started, I still feel the same pain on the same spot when I stand or walk, although it is not as intense.
Also, when I checked my posture in front the mirror, I found that my right hip is slightly protruding out than my left and the pain forces me to stand in a bent position which makes me look as if I had a minor case of sciliosis.
Now comes the actual question; provided that I do not have health insurance, should I see an orthopeadrician or a chiropractor? I know that a chiropractor charges about $50 per visit. How much would a doctor charge a person without insurance? Your help will be appreciated.

I would suggest going to see a chiropractor. There is no reason to live with the pain if you can afford not to. It almost sounds like its your sciatic nerve. I am eighteen and I've had issues with that nerve from wear and tear of sports! I went to a chiropractor one time, and they fixed me all up :) . Definintly try it. Doctors are more exspensive sadly. The chiropractor will be able to tell you what's wrong, and if you do have something more serious wrong with you, they will send you to a regular doctor and tell you they can't help you, but with your situation it seems like they will be able to. Good luck!
