Some Top Tips When It Comes To Buying Quilt Sets

Your bed is going to be the place that you will spend a large proportion of your life, roughly a third of your day is spent sleeping so it makes sense to make sure that you are comfy while doing so. Obviously the main aspect of a comfortable bed is the mattress but getting the right quilt sets can also play a big part as well. We have outlined some of the extra factors that you should take into account when you are purchasing any new duvet covers.

 

Colour and Style.

 

Clearly one of the first things that is going to affect your decision when buying any covers is the colour and design of them. You should be buying something that is going to easily fit in with the rest of the décor in your bedroom. The best way of doing this is to either purchase covers that use more neutral colours in them or ones that are of a similar colour to other parts of your room. Failing to take this into consideration will mean you end up with a bed that sticks out like a sore thumb compared to the rest of your room.

 

Size of Your Bed.

 

This is obviously going to be another major factor in the choice that you make. There is no point finding a set of bed sheets that you love if they are completely the wrong size for your bed. Most people will know whether their bed is a double or king size, but it is still advisable to measure it as there can still be some variations in the size depending on the product you are buying. Getting the right size cover can make a big difference to the quality of your sleep, too small and you may wake up with no cover, too big and you could end up swamped in sheets.

 

Thread Count.

 

The thread count, along with the actual material itself, is the most important factor in determining the quality and softness of your covers. The count relates to the amount of thread in every square inch of your cover and the lower the thread count is, the rougher the texture of the cover will be. Getting sheets that have got a higher thread count will mean that they will be comfier but can also mean that they cost more and may suffer from more wear and tear.

 

When you are purchasing new quilt sets you should try to take all of the above into consideration before you make your purchase and you will ultimately end up with a comfier and more stylish bedroom.

Oh, I loved those things!! I didn't really use them in baby's crib, but I laid one down next to me on the side baby was nursing on when I was breastfeeding in bed. They are waterproof, so nothing wets through to the sheets underneath. Very helpful for the spit-up or leaks.
