Pillows are very vital for one to have a good rest at night. The pillows that you use support your head and your neck as you fall asleep. It is very important that you can choose the one that is very comfortable for you and will not cause any allergies on you. One thing that you need to remember is that these pillows may accumulate dirt from dust and stains too. You have to wash them from time to time. SORT OUT

 

The first thing that you need to do is to sort out the pillows that you can wash. You may read the labels to determine if you can possibly wash them. You may wash polyester, fiber filled and cotton pillows. Just remove the pillow case before you wash them. Foam pillows can also be washed. If the pillow is filled with water, gel or buck wheat, you cannot wash them for sure.

 

The pillows must be determined according to sizes too. If the pillows are too big, you may just wash the outside part only. It will be hard for a pillow to dry up if the fillers are too heavy. Some decorative pillows cannot be washed especially those that are made with beads or heavy leather.

 

WATER

 

The water that you will use will affect how you will wash the pillow. Most manufacturers indicate helpful directions that will guide you on how to wash the pillows. You need to look at the specifications on the water that must be used. Some maybe washed with cold water while others may need to be washed in warm water.

 

DRYING

 

Heavy pillows are hard to dry up. It may take time for sure. Try to use medium heat to dry up the pillows. Just make sure that the heat will not cause the fillers to shrink. Goose feather pillow suffocates me?

My face sinks into it and it blocks my nostril. Does this happen with the firm goose down feather pillows? Mine is medium

You'd probably be better off with a firm poly filled pillow. Feathers are always softer than poly filled.
