Get That Hotel Linen Collection You’ve Always Wanted!

A few days ago, I woke up to find that I was annoyed with my bed sheets. It sounds like a stupid complaint, but I just had a flashback of my purchase of it a couple of months back. I remember how ambivalent I was in buying it, but then my husband came to the rescue and selected what would later become a peeve of mine. Come to think of it, it has nothing to do really with the actual beddings, which are satisfactory, at least. Reading the paper, I saw several ads for local hotels, some good, some okay, some not even worth being called hotels. Which just reminded me of the hotel beddings again. One of the hotels gave an impression of being a small luxury hotel, compared to the others. When I analyzed why it gave that impression, I realized it was because of how much I liked the hotel beddings.

A great bed and bath collection does wonders to the appearance and feel of a hotel room. This particular hotel made a great decision to get these hotel beddings, towels and robes, which have left many a guest happy with their overall service. It is amazing what a good shower, followed by a good night’s sleep, can do to your spirits. Would it not be great to experience this everyday?

You would think that getting wholesale towels the likes of which hotels use would be a pleasure that only women such as myself would have. What is the best way to fold a fitted sheet?

Fitted bed sheets are so difficult to fold neatly, especially larger ones like king or queen size. What is the best way to fold them flat so they can be stored in the linen closet?

YOU DO NOT NEED TWO PEOPLE! If I had to have two people to fold my sheets, I would have baskets of laundry all over my house!

Folding a fitted sheet can be a frustrating task. Those elasticized corners, though convenient for keeping a sheet firmly in place on the bed, can become a jumbled mass when improperly folded. Fortunately, there is a relatively easy technique for folding these tricky linens neatly—it just takes patience, and a bit of practice.

Technique
Folding a Fitted Sheet

1. Start with your sheet inside out. While standing, hold the sheet in front of you, and place one hand in each of two adjacent corners.

2. Bring your right hand to your left, and fold the corner in your right hand over the one in your left hand, so that the corner on top is right-side out.

3. Keeping your left hand in place, reach down to the remaining two corners with your free hand, and tuck these corners into each other. Fold these corners over the first two. Your sheet should now be folded in quarters, with all four corners tucked inside one another.

4. Lay the sheet on a flat surface with the puckered end folded in over the flat part of the sheet. Touch up with an iron, if necessary, at this point. Fold two edges in, so all the elastic is hidden.

5. Fold the strip you have created into a rectangle, then continue folding until the rectangle is the size you want it to be.

Very easy!
