Underfloor heating – the facts simply

Underfloor heating is now a popular and modern way of completely heating your home or just parts of it.  With demand for this product growing significantly, underfloor heating has become a sophisticated product that can be used under all floor types.

Underfloor heating is a more cost effective option.  As the underfloor heating systems have become more sophisticated so have the controls for these systems providing lower energy demands and therefore making this a more environmentally friendly option.

 

The point that you should take great care with and allow time for is the planning of the underfloor heating.  There are many companies now that will be able to measure the rooms and provide a complete quote for the products required.  The whole floor will need to be covered and in certain circumstances, ie a very large room or hallway, an additional radiator can also be used.  Professional advice for the correct system for you, the amount of product to purchase and how to install is paramount.  People who have experienced problems with underfloor heating have not done enough homework and sought the correct advice.

 

Professional installation is also recommended especially for an entire home.  The cost of using a professional can be set against the cost of DIY installation that is incorrect or badly installed and has to be re-done.
