My future daughter law bought a dark gray comforter.What color she will paint the walls?

I know she like blue But her sister bought her a big four poster dark bed it takes up alot of the room so we need to keep bedroom, looker larger. Also we need a popular color that potientail buyers would like, they are selling next year. Do buyers now perfer some color or just white and beige

If she likes blue, but you're concerned about the size of the room looking too small, how about just a really light blue. People really have different tastes and will probably end up repainting the room anyways to match their decor. (I liked the colors on the walls of the house we bought, but we still repainted almost every single room just to make the house feel more like our own and to match our decor.) Even if they like whatever color she paints the room, it may not be what they want for that particular room. I would just stay away from any dark or harsh colors that would put anybody off, make the room look smaller or be hard to paint over. If she wants to play it really safe, she could just go with a nice beige.

*Please don't encourage your future daughter in law to put up wallpaper. Wallpaper is not nearly as popular as it was 30 years ago and most people don't want to have to mess with taking it down since it's a real pain. If I were looking to buy a house, I would not be interested if there was a lot of wallpaper in the house. I don't care for wallpaper in the least bit and neither do a lot of people I know. Why not just leave that decision up to the person who ends up buying the house?

*Sometimes bland and safe is best when you're trying to sell a house. It's hard to picture your own belongings in a home, even if it is beautiful, if it is really busy and there are a lot of strong or bold choices in decor.

Once your future daughter in law and son buy a house that they plan on staying in for a long time, then encourage them to do whatever they want, whether it be painting bold colors or putting wallpaper on every surface if they want to. I just don't think it's a good idea to do that before you try selling.
