Officially Minted Bullion Coins - American Eagle Gold Coins

The popular American Gold Eagle Coin was originally distributed way back 1986 as the official gold bullion coin by the US Mint during the period when the South African gold was banned. In America the gold content should be 100% from America sources to consider it legal.

If you are a very serious collector and you want an American gold coin you can purchase them through their denominations as follows, 1/10 oz, ¼ oz, ½ oz and 1 oz and they have 22 carat gold meaning 91.67% pure gold. The denomination of the coin’s will indicate the gold content of the coin and the metals included to sum up the weight of the gold. The American Eagle Gold Coins is made up of copper and silver alloy so that it would be lighter, the tone will be yellower in the contrary of the deep orange tone of Kruggerands.

American Eagle is one of the most popular gold coins in the entire world.  That is one of the great properties of American Eagle Gold Coin that they are well recognized and acknowledge in the world wide. The coin’s design on one side is the Lady Liberty holding the torch at the right hand and olive at the left hand and the other side is the male eagle which is flying on the female eagle and their offspring. This male eagle symbolizes the United States’ power and the promise to protect it and the mission they have and the entire people. Even the eagle is holding an olive branch which symbolizes the mission and the quest of America to keep the peace at its strength. Even though they have different denomination they still have similar designs aside from the gold enlisted that attracts the collectors to grab for more. The beauty of the gold coins make them more powerful from the others the also with the symbol they have making them more appealing with the collectors so that they can own it and display it as proud as they can.

American Eagle Gold Coins carry their own face value. 1/10 oz coins is a mark of $5, ¼ oz coins is a mark of $10, ½ oz coins is a mark of $25 and finally, 1 oz coins are marked $50. Nevertheless, the face values are the representation and the reflection of the status as the legal tender. The real and actual value of the coins is the market value of the coin with their gold content and some of the specific premiums. With that if you want safety it would be better to have the marked of $50 with the market value of $900 at this moment. This will make the con more worth it and valuable investments. This is the strong representation of United States indeed need a great value of appreciation and everyone should be proud.

What's the best investment, american eagle gold, silver, or platinum?

Which will appreciate the most in the next 10 years or so?

They pretty much appreciate together as the market has periods of flight to quality and flight to equites, (the booms and busts)...

Or industrial use. I'de buy silver because it is the cheapest of the precious metals and likely to continue it's long-term uptrend. Supplies will tighten in the future as there are less and less mines to dig from. I recommend buying 1800's silver morgan's, as they are relatively cheap. A little more than silver eagle coins, but the collector's factor is strong with it. There is a fixed quantity of these morgan's, and they are gradually becoming rarer and rarer. I'm holding several, and expect them to appreciate substantially in the next 10-20 years.

Other than safe stores of value, precious metals are long-term investments, if they are bought as investments, rather than stores of value. So don't expect anything to happen overnight or even within a year... If you want that, go with stock equity, and more specifically, if you're interested in precious metals, go with precious metal mining and the basic materials sectors. Companies like FCX, MT..
