how do you prevent cotton dust balls when you wash?

I have an all cotton blanket that gets dust balls when I wash it. I use gentle cycle and line dry but it still gets alot of fuzzies. Is there a special laundry detergent I can use for this?

I use washing balls in my washing machine and dryer. They are a bit bigger than a tennis ball with little rounded spikes all over them.

You still get the fluffies but they won't end up sticking to everything if you use the balls. It all should get trapped in the lint filters.

When you use these balls in the dryer they cut down iron time dramatically and alot of my washing I don't even have to iron anymore. And another tip if you don't already do this, take your stuff out of the dryer as soon as it finishes. You won't get half the amount of creases in your clothes or linen.

After a while the fuzzies should disappear.
