Can I wash and dry my Packing Blanket? Movers Blanket/ Packing Quilt whichever you call it.?
The tag does not have any info and laundering. The blanket is made of 30%Cotton / 70% Terylene and the batting inside it says "Reused Cotton Stuffing? Also, there was no laundering info on the package when I got it. I order it. It is the Camo Colored Packing Blanket from Harbor Freight Tools, which was on clearance and no longer on their website.
I was going to wash it at the laundry mat in cold water and dry on low heat. Does this seam like the right way to do it?
That sounds about right. The low cotton content should make it shrink resistant. I would also dry it with tennis balls to speed up the process. The fact that it's a packing blanket, and meant to be used and gotten dirty, should mean it's not too "fussy" and can handle cleansing.
