What color should I paint my room?

Hello Everyone,

I know this question has been asked time and time again but i couldn't find anything that i wanted to know.

What color should i paint my room when i have dark beige drapes/curtains or whatever and my bed comforter is also a similar beige color? Also keep in mind that my furniture is dark. One more thing i would like to know is should i paint the trim in the room white? or should i paint it another color? i do not want to paint them the same as the walls. Thank you in advance
