Wooden venetian blinds are the type with slats that run horizontally. You can alter the quantity of light that's let thru by adjusting the lean of the blinds. Venetian blinds are ideal for windows or single doorways.
If you have got a long entrance or set of windows you may want to consider vertical wooden blinds. Vertical wooden blinds can be pulled from side to side to expose a window or French doors. They can even be as a completely unique methodology of dividing a huge room into tiny rooms. When covering big spans of window/door think about using 2 vertical blinds that approach from either end.

They're simple to wash due to their great resistance to water, which also makes them good choices for your toilet or kitchen. They are not scratched or marked as easily as a wooden blind making them excellent for kid's bedrooms or rumpus rooms. On the other hand they are heavier than wooden blinds and they don't come in as large a selection of stains and paints. This will make it tricky if you are attempting to match the colour to existing furniture.

Will my betta eat my shrimp?
I have a small 2.5 gallon hexagonal tank with a small amazon swordtail and some java moss growing around the zen statue in the middle. In it I have a small male delta-tail betta and 4 little "plant" shrimp. They have the same coloration as bamboo shrimp but max out at like an inch. The bettas favorite thing to do seems to be hunting the shrimp on the bottom and I was wondering if he will actually eat the shrimp. They blend in pretty well with the gravel and the betta is really oblivious to them so I'm not that concerned. Should I be?
My betta ate my ghost shrimp. But my daughter has 2 cherry shrimp in with her betta with no problems...maybe it's a preference thing for the betta?
