Golf Bag Is A Beautiful Thing

 More and more golf accessories are available for them. They are all the essential part of golf equipment . Nowadays, golf bag is a beautiful spot on the golf courses. With the needs of most golfers, there is a large range of styles of golf bags. You can get the bag witch just for your own style. And they come in a wide variety of colors, and you can choose the color to match your mood or your style.

 

All golf bags have compartments where the golf clubs are to be placed. Each golfer has his or her own way of doing this and putting clubs where he or she wants them. Some golfers, though, are lazy and just stick their clubs in the compartments, grabbing whichever one they want when a particular club is needed. But, some golf bags have tubes to protect the club grips. These are nice to have. With the tubes, a golfer can get his or her clubs out easier. The clubs are never tangled up, and the grips last a lot longer.

1/3 of a bag of marbles are yellow,5/12 of the marbles are blue and 4/5 of the remaining marbles are white...and there are 60white marbles!

if i'm interpreting correctly, the marbles are in the same bag. hence all the proportions add together should be one. however
1/3 + 5/12 + 4/5 will not give you 1

60 / 4 * 5 will give a total of 75 marbles, however, if 1/5 is 15, 1/3 will be 25. 60 + 25 will be 85, exceeding the total amount allowed

Edit: I was not interpreting correctly...
So, as the genius below pointed out, if the bag contain 1/3 Y and 5/12 of B, then Y + B = 9/12 or 75%
hence the remaining must be 3/12 or 25 %.
if 4/5 of the remaining 25% is white, then the proportion of white must be 4/5 * 25 = 20%
if 20% of the bag is 60, the total number must be 60 * 5 = 300 marbles.

back to the beginning, 1/3 of the bag is Y, therefore Y =1/3 * 300 = 100 marbles

5/12 of the bag is B, therefore B = 5/12 * 300 = 125 marbles

the conclusion is, there are 25 more Blue marbles than Yellow.

(the smart guy below also confirmed the answer by simultaneous equations with 3 variables which is another way to do it)
