Brand New Cotton Bed Sheets- Cotton Dust Everywhere!?
I just purchased two packages of complete bedsheets and pillow cases, 100% cotton, 200 thread per inch.
I always wash sheets before using. These sheets were laundered alone. While hanging them on clothes racks in my kitchen, I had tons of cotton dust from them. There was a film of dust across the kitchen floor, table, everywhere it was like a cloud in the air when you shook the sheets/pillowcases. I have never seen this before with cotton sheets. Anyone out there know what this is about?
You said that you hung them on racks in your kitchen. Did you dry them in dryer? That would help get rid of the excess cotton or lint. I love the smell of sheet air dried. But to get the lint off, they need to go in the dryer for awhile.
